Communication with parents

View Posted Grade Updates

Teachers' gradebook reports are available in the Contents section of their class page. Open the folder (which you named when you posted your reports) to display a list of reports by the students' names. Click on the name of any student to view their report. It is possisible to delete this folder or even delete or edit individual reports from this view.

Send email to parents

It is possible to send an email to the whole class or just parents of specified studnts. On the desired Class webpage, Under Tools click on Send Messages.

Compose your email and Click Send Message button. It is not possible to attach a file. Edline will send you a copy of the email also..

Manage Contents area

It is possible to add files and other information for your class, edit , delete and reorder them also.
Items that can be added are:

Document

Used for assignments , hand-outs for classes, any file attachments, images, or information.
Posting Homework is an example of Adding a Document to the Contents area and including it on the Combined Calendar for students.

Link

A Link to website may be added under Contents as well as under the LINKS area on your Edline webapge. You will need the URL of the desired website to paste into the link.

Folder

Once you add a folder, then you can add documents and other documents, files, other folders
into it. This way you can organize your files on your webapge. Folders may be added under CONTENTS and LINKs areas.

Group

A Group is Edline's name for a webpage. Therefore, when you add a Group you will get a link to an additional webpage with a default picture and the same Edline layout they you can edit and maintain also.

Quiz (Interactive Assignment is very similar)

No experience required. Select from a variety of question types: multiple choice, single choice, open-ended, etc. Choose from several different components when creating a quiz or test: text entry fields, radio buttons, drop-down lists and file attachments. You can even import existing quizzes, saving time and effort.
Quizzes and Assignments can be graded automatically - and grades transferred directly to your gradebook or SIS - with no involvement by the teacher unless required.
